Valid/Invalid Execution Conditions


The following are examples of valid and invalid true/false execution conditions as specified in the first five positions of a statement. The next level referred to below identifies the internal true/false status indicator to be set assuming the statement affects these indicators (as identified in Table 4-2-1).

Valid T/F Execution Conditions

? ? ? ? ? ....... No execution conditions apply; next level is level 1.

T ? ? ? ? ...... One condition applies; next level is level 2.

T T F T ? .... Four conditions apply, next level is level 5.

F F F T T .... Five conditions apply, next level is invalid.*

* Note: Five conditions are not valid on a statement affecting the internal T/F status indicators (except for GOSUB and RETURN).

Invalid T/F Execution Conditions

? T ? ? ? ..... A non-blank execution condition cannot follow a blank.

T F ? ? T .... A non-blank execution condition cannot follow a blank.
